Distribution of Digital Certificates

Second in series of Special Educational Module was donated to The Institute For the Blind, sector-26, Chandigarh. Certificates were distributed to the team members i.e Ms. Aakriti Goyal, Mr. Tapish Mittal, Ms. Himani Jindal, Ms. Manisha Kathuria, Ms. Lovely Khurana,  on March 3, 2011. Their work was lauded by Abhishek Syal, President of A R I S E and Mr. J.S. Jayara- headmaster, Institute For The Blind.

Ms. Ankita Goyal and their team comprising of (Ms. Aakriti Goyal, Mr. Tapish Mittal, Ms. Himani Jindal, Ms. Lovely Khurana, Ms. Manisha Kathuria) donated their second in series of Special Educational Module to the Institute For The Blind, Sector 26, Chandigarh on 2nd february 2011.

                The Special Educational Module (SEM) consisted of set of audio CDs specially prepared for enabling visually challenged students to learn English usage effectively.

                 The audio lectures were developed after testing and evaluation for their content effectiveness and quality through previously conducted Research Surveys and Experimentation at the Institute with visually challenged students and improved upon according to the feedback of the teachers.

                  The audio lectures will go long way to enable the visually challenged to be better suited for working environments and make them capable to be involved in document processing and internet enabled software application usage.

                  The Special Educational Module Development Project was coordinated and mentored by Abhishek Syal and J.S. Jayara.

 



Testing of Second Audio Educational Module

Miss Ankita Goyal (under the guidance of Mr. Abhishek Syal) went to The Institute For Blind, Sector-26 Chandigarh to test the second module. The second module which consisted of audio lectures on basics of English grammar and some short stories to help the students to learn Funcational English.


Audio lectures of second module were prepared by Miss Aakriti Goyal, Mr. Tapish Mittal, Miss Himani, Miss Lovely and Miss Manisha.


Research Survey Tests were conducted on students of various classes like 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, +1 and +2. Feedback of students was taken and audio lectures were judged on various parameters like speed, efficiency,  voice clarity. Students were also asked that what are their other requirements and in what other subjects they need audio lectures so that we could help them with those also. 


These lectures will enable and empower visually challenged students to learn and understand and speak English effectively, which would be helpful for their jobs. 


These lectures will be reconstructed according to the feedback research survey and would be donated to the Institute for the Blind, Sector 26, Chandigarh by A R I S E.

Our first Module

Mr. Abhishek Syal and his team donated their first educational module to the Institute for the Blind. The educational module consisted of audio cassettes specially prepared foe enabling visually challenged students to learn English usage effectively. These lectures will go a long way to enable the visually challenged to be better suited for working environments and make them capable to be involved in document processing and internet enabled software application usage.
